Description of the problem	My car would not start (it was parked in my driveway) so i had it towed to my mechanic's shop. He diagnosed the fuel pump and checked the alldata repair database to learn that the fuel pump had been recalled. He cleaned out the gunk so i could drive it to my dealership. The dealer told me that my vehicle vin was not a part of the recall and wanted to do a $130 diagnostic. Of course, since the fuel pump was now temporarily working, it would not show up in a diagnostic until it clogged again. I would prefer not to drive it because, according to the recall notice, the fuel pump may cause the vehicle to stall while being driven. Nissan is refusing to add my vehicle to the recall even though the problem is the exact same one in their recall, unless i pay for their diagnostic, send them proof of ownership, and such.
