Description of the problem	Nissan installed defective cvt transmissions in several vehicles between 2010-2016. My 2012 nissan rogue is included in that. I am now being told that i need a new transmission, and nissan is refusing to replace. It. My vehicle starts fine, but the transmission has failed. After looking online, i've found numerous other complaints of the same issue, and i feel there needs to be a further investigation, and recall on this cvt transmission. The vehicle starts, but when you try and accelerate, the rpms go up, but nothing happens, then it will screech and lurch forward. I had to have it towed to the dealership, who confirmed that it was a problem with the transmission. The salesperson at the dealership advised me that nissan was aware of the problem with the older cvt transmissions, and have fixed it in the new 2019 models. This is a serious safety issue, as my transmission failed in the middle of traffic, with no warning.
