Description of the problem	Purchased a certified pre-owned 2011 nissan rogue in 2013. Ever since i owned the vehicle it would intermittently pop out of gear and would then reengage into gear and accelerate on the highway and city roadways. When i would accelerate from 20mph to higher speeds the car would jump as if the brakes were stuck. Apparently the cvt transmission was defective and nissan is now indicating to me that although the later model year cars were given an extended warranty for the faulty cvt transmission my car is not covered. I have spoken to them to file complaints, but nothing has been done. There are an outstanding number of complaints regarding their cvt transmissions, but they do not want to cover the 2011's. Now i will have to replace entire transmission at a cost of approximately $4,000. 00. This should not happen to car with approximately 100,000 miles that has been serviced and care for regularly. The car completely stopped accelerating on me on a one lane road with a speed limit of 45 mph that has a lot of traffic. I had to coast to a stop on a half shoulder and wait there until help could arrive.
