Description of the problemWhile relocating from md to tn (approx. 11 hours) in july, traveling the interstate vehicle began losing acceleration after about 2 hours of driving. Vehicle never stopped not overheated. After brief resting periods (15 mins or more), vehicle's performance improved but never returned to normal. Upon arrival to tn, vehicle was checked for clogged fuel injectors and oil/battery levels and functions. All were fine. Changed gas from regular to premium to minimize/correct possible problems. A few weeks later, a 3 hour trip was taken and the issue recurred. Took the car to carmax where it was purchased and they tried to recreate the issue and had the vehicle all day without duplication. In august, relocated from tn to ga, approximately a 3 hour trip, and the same problem occurred again. Took the car to the nissan dealership for evaluation, car was there for almost a month as the root cause was a faulty transmission setting that prevent the vehicle from accelerating if the transmission got too hot. Turns out the setting was so low that the above-mentioned problems occurred. I ended up having to have a transmission replaced in a relatively new car (3 yrs old).
