| Description of the problem | Two months prior to burn out, vehicle was taken to local nissan dealership for cvt fluid flush. Was not aware of recall until after incident occurred, after contacting nna. Also was experiencing loss of power when driving up hills or speeds above 70 mph. I mentioned to dealership, they advised to get cvt tranny fluid flushed and refilled. Recall was never addressed to me at previous nissan service visits. Nna has denied "product liability." my sister and i were fortunate to make it out of a flaming, rolling fireball. Firefighters pinpointed explosion and fire to power steering electric control. Vehicle is a total loss and incident is yet to be investigated, insurance currently in beginning phases. Be careful in the rogues people!! *js |
