Description of the problem	I was driving on the highway when the vehicle started slowing down. When i pushed down on the gas pedal, the rpm's revved into the red and the vehicle made a loud whining sound and continued to slow down. I pulled over and turned the car off and back on. Tried to accelerate by pressing the gas pedal to the floor and the vehicle barely coasted. Stopped and turned vehicle off. After about 30 minutes, i turned the car back on and it ran fine. This is the first time this has happened while moving. In the past 6 months there have been at least 8 instances where while i was stopped at a stop light or waiting to turn left, i would push down on the accelerator to go and the car would barely start to coast with the pedal to the floor. Then after a few seconds, the vehicle would suddenly accelerate. I'm afraid that i'm going to be t-boned while turning because i don't know if when i press down on the gas pedal if i'll go or coast into oncoming traffic.
