Description of the problem	During ice and snowy conditions the outside door handle mechanism fails not allowing you to open the door from the outside. It has happened 3 times on the drivers door and once on the passenger door. To fix the problem you have to take apart the door and re hook up a cable. There seems to be a vin number recall for this but it doesn't include my rogue. Took it to the dealer to have it fixed and they wanted to charge 600 dollars for their flawed mechanism on 1 side!!! Major pain to have to open the door from the passenger side or reach over the seat to open the door from the inside. Seems to be a safety issue that nissan should fix when they know it is an issue with other nissan vehicles. Not happy with nissan or their service. The last time it occurred was 12/18/2015. But it has happened the last 3 winters and i fixed it .
