| Description of the problem | The cvt transmission in the rogue is known for failing. When the fluid temperature gets too hot the vehicle will go into a limp mode limiting all power. My rogue has had 4 transmissions in 85k miles. I have had my replacement transmission for two weeks and it is already having signs of failing. I have nearly been in multiple major wrecks because the transmission will cut out when trying to enter a highway or pull out across traffic. There are multiple reports of accidents from this issue but nissan has not said a word. It has the exact type of failure the nissan pathfinder had, which just had a class action passed against it. |
