| Description of the problem | Driving down the highway, my 2009 nissan rogue began overheating. Had the vehicle towed to my mechanic where he found coolant in the spark plugs so replaced all plugs and checked the radiator. When i went to pick up the vehicle, it wouldn't start. He checked it over again and said that it had a blown head gasket. Unfortunately, the power train warranty was only good for 5 yrs/60,000 miles. I was 6,000 miles over the limit. When nissan was contacted to see if there was a recall for this problem, i was told there was no recall for the power train. When i asked them if they had noticed a high incidence of power train problems being reported, i was told "well, yes and no." huh? |
