Description of the problem	so shortly after purchasing this vehicle brand new the passenger side air bag would deactivate when sat in. As was this a very intermittent problem and would not do it when we had time to take it back to the dealer the car now has 30,000 miles on it and now when nobody is sitting in the seat the air bag stays on at all time, and when sat in it deactivates. I took it back to the dealership at 29,000 miles and they said due to the age it was out of warranty and it would cost a lot of money to replace the entire seat cushion. They saw i had my iphone on the seat and said that is probably the reason for the failure. Ok so a pressure switch is hurt by a phone? I see there was a recall for 2008 units and wonder if this should apply to 2009 as well as this air bag not deploying my result in serious injury. It is now may 2013 and this issue has been now verified by the dealer and under 36000 mile warranty, why is there not a longer warranty on such a serious safety issue?
