Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2008 nissan rogue. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to zimbrick nissan (2302, 5330 highway crossing boulevard, madison, wisconsin 53718, (608)-663-1122) on february 12, 2016 with 117,000 miles to have the transmission repaired per the manufacturer warranty program. The contact did not have the information on the part that was replaced. The repair did not correct the failure. While driving 60 mph, the transmission jerked and the vehicle decelerated to 40 mph. The check engine indicator illuminated while the failure occurred. The contact was able to coast the vehicle onto the road shoulder and attempted to restart the vehicle, but was unsuccessful. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence and then back to zimbrick nissan on november 10, 2017 where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed. The dealer advised that the transmission needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 85077. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was over the repair mileage. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 137,000.
