Description of the problem	After driving for a while, my nissan cvt transmission stops working properly. When i take off from a stop at a light or intersection, the car initially takes off for a few feet, but then the transmission stalls, and the car literally creeps through the intersection at a snails pace. Very dangerous when it occurs in a busy intersection. You do not know it is happening until you are already in the intersection as it feels normal when you first hit the gas, and then it goes into what is best described as a very low gear. Someone is going to die from this. Nissan is aware of this issue and extended its warranty on the cvt to 10 years and 120,000 mile, but never issued a recall that i am aware. Unfortunately, this issue did not occur with my vehicle until after the mileage stated. It may have to do with transmission fluid temperature and a fail safe mode. There is discussion of such on the internet.
