Description of the problem	As reported by many other 2008 nissan rogue owners, the passenger side airbag sensor light was flashing, indicating a non-functional airbag (the entire airbag system, driver's side included, we found out later). This particular vehicle was not one of the 200,000+ vehicles recalled (08v521000) for the very same issue with the ocs (occupant classification system). The only fix, according to the dealer (and the subsequent multiple calls to nissan consumer affairs), is to replace the entire passenger side seat. This is a safety issue because: 1) the passenger side sensor disables the entire airbag system, and 2) a very expensive fix ($1800-$2500) is required for a safety system sensor. In light of the nearly 1 million nissan vehicles recently recalled (2014) for the exact same issue,the recall really should have applied not only to those initial 200,000+ vehicles, but all those vehicles with the same sensor system that they still have not gotten right. This is poor engineering at it's best!
