| Description of the problem | The vehicle's fuel tank indicator has suddenly become faulty. The needle for fuel capacity showed about 1/4 gas tank full, yet my van stopped in the middle of the street. There was no gas in the vehicle, yet the indicator showed 1/4th available. It was a big inconvenience, i had get emergency help for fuel, etc. I was lucky it happened when i was in the right lane of a slow moving road that had a shoulder on the right. I was also fortunate to carry my cell phone with me at the time of that journey ! I took it to the repair shop, they replaced the fuel tank, etc. The problem occured again even after the fix. The technicians pointed out to a report on nhtsa site that points to a open ticket for this model and issue. |
