Description of the problem	I received a check engine light on my quest and the fuel gauge hand was not working properly. I would fill it up and the gas hand would go to full and then as i would drive it would drop down to empty for a while and back to full for while as i would drive. I took it to my local dealership and they stated it was the fuel pump. I had a fuel pump put on by and independent mechanic but the check engine light was still on so i took it back to the dealership and they stated that it was the fuel pump but i told them i replaced that and they then stated it was the sending unit, i told them my local mechanic checked the sending unit and he said that the connectivity was good on the sending unit. The local dealership then ran more diagnostic and said it was dash that caused the problem and not the fuel pump. I had the dash replaced and the fuel gauge is now stuck on full. I have read several other forums with people that have had the same problem as i. I believe this needs to be looked into as a recall as it seems to be affecting a lot of people.
