Description of the problem	When we went to replace the lower control arm on the passenger side of the vehicle a softball size hole in the subframe caused by rust was discovered. As a result of the car being up on jacks, the subframe snapped in half. After researching this problem, we have discovered that this is a common occurrence, in nissan quests and is caused in part because of poor drain location for the air conditioner. It is our understanding that nissan is aware of this problem and has addressed it with warranties in other models, but not the quest. Which, i now must fork out at a minimum of $2,000 to replace.
