Description of the problemWe have the 2004 sl and have had two occurrences where the car has no power and accelerated very slowly from a stopped position. This occurs the first time the car is turned on and does not stop until the car is shut off. It appears that the transmission is slipping since the rpms are high, the engine is revving, but the car is not moving. After about 35-40 mph it breaks free. The dealer has witnessed the problem, i took it straight there the 2nd time it happened. They have done nothing to fix it, can't duplicate. I went to bbb arbitration and lost. I am pursing with an attorney.*ak
