Description of the problem2004 nissan quest. Consumer states safety problem with the power windows and power doors *tgw the consumer stated the passenger side window would not stay closed. When the consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, he was informed to fix the problem it would require replacing the motor, which would be very expensive. The consumer declined the repair. Later on, the window reverted back to its proper closing procedure and operated as it was designed. However, the driver's window would not close automatically and the consumer was forced to hold down the button manually. The door on the passenger side would not close completely. It would stop about half way. The consumer had to physically push the door closed which lasted for weeks. Then, suddenly the door began closing correctly without any attempt at repair. The sliding door on the driver's side didn't function as it should. It all started when the consumer's grandson was exiting the vehicle by pushing the open button from the inside. As he was getting out, the door reversed itself before it opened completely and began closing, hitting him and wouldn't stop as it was supposed to when meeting an object. Fortunately, he was only frightened, but not injured. The door continued to malfunction, so the consumer no longer used it anymore. The consumer referenced recall # 04v186000. However, his vin was not included in the recall. *jb
