Description of the problem	The fuel gauge on our vehicle is not working properly resulting in the need to calculate mileage or risk running out of gas. Sometimes the fuel gauge will show that the tank has gas and sometimes it says the tank is empty. There is a recall on fuel gauges/systems for 2008 nissan pathfinders, however nissan has reported that our 2008 nissan pathfinder was not affected by this recall (based on the vin).
