Description of the problem	The dashboard fuel guage does not reliably report the level of fuel. This issue led to a recall for 2008 pathfinders in the past, but apparently not for my vin. The issue occurs at various times, including when stationary or moving. Sometimes refilling the tank will give a full tank reading, some times it will not. It will also allow the tank to run down to empty without reflecting that on the guage. Often, but not always, the yellow service engine light will illuminate as a result.
