| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2008 nissan pathfinder. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked overnight with a quarter of tank of fuel. The contact noticed the fuel tank gauge read empty. The contact took the vehicle to the gas station, refilled the tank, and the fuel gauge read full. The failure recurred at the quarter tank level. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank level sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that because the contact had not taken the vehicle to a nissan dealer all of 2015, they were not able to provide a repair for nhtsa campaign number: 10v075000 (fuel system, gasoline). The failure mileage was 89,000. |
