| Description of the problem | Coolant leaked into transmission causing damage to transmission. Vehicle is in shop with estimate of $5000 for repairs. Mechanic stated it is difficult to find rebuilds and that this is one of the most expensive transmissions he has priced. He did some research and found that this is a common problem and makes is more difficult to get rebuilt transmissions. I initially had the coolant leak fixed and replaced the radiator. The transmission would shift rough and in three months time from coolant leak repairs, started to not shift from 2nd to 3rd gear. Car in not safe to drive and was taken to mechanic. |
