Description of the problem	I own a 2006 nissan pathfinder. I took the car in for maintenance a few weeks ago and started to notice that the fuel gauge did not work. Even if my tank is fuel, it says i only have a quarter of a tank. Last friday i filled up my tank and the gas light came on right after i filled it up. I called nissan and they told me it was ok to drive on and that i need to drive it down to 1/2 or. 1/4 tank otherwise they couldn't do anything about it. I have a one year old baby that i have to drive to doctor appointments. I live on the outskirts of the city and always take the freeway to get around. Knowing that my car can stall and shut down is not comforting to me. At this point not sure what to do or who to call. I have been reluctant to drive much so i still cannot bring my car in until the gas gauge drops lower. But i don't really know how much gas i really have since that gauge doesn't even work.
