Description of the problem	Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6) i own a 2006 nissan pathfinder. The fuel-sending unit went out in october of 2009. I took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that it was not covered under the warranty. In march of 2010 my wife heard about the recall campaign regarding faulty fuel-sending units in 2006 pathfinders. When i took the vehicle to the dealer again i was told my vehicle was not part of the recall. I called nissan consumer affairs in october and again in april and no assistance was offered. I was told however that another recall campaign could take place, but at this time there was nothing they would do to cover the repair. The service manager at the dealer informed me that the unit on my vehicle was caused by the same problem the other units involved in the recall had suffered from. I explained this to nissan but to no avail. I am writing this in hopes that there is any information you can offer me to encourage nissan to fix this problem.
