Description of the problem	Tl*the contact owns a 2006 nissan pathfinder. The contact was driving approximately 65 mph with a half a tank of gasoline in the fuel tank. Suddenly, the fuel gauge displayed empty. The check engine and the fuel tank warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The failures occurred after the fuel tank was consumed to the half tank capacity level; however, after a few days the fuel gauge adjusted to the correct reading.
