Description of the problem	Check engine light went on and fuel registered empty on the dash. Since that time fuel gauge has not registered correctly going from full to empty at sporadic time but will never register less than 1/2 a tank causing issues as you never now how much fuel you have until you run out which is a safety hazard. Took to nissan they said it was a fuel gauge issue and it would be over 500 to fix as they had to drop the tank to get at the fuel sensor. I was told there was a recall don't know why it didn't register as other pathfinders have this issue . Also don't know why a mileage warranty is put on this they should fix the issue with the fuel tank regardless as it seems as soon as the vehicle hits 70k in mileage this breaks on the vehicle. Also don't believe they included all pathfinders in this warranty as i am sure the dealer would have replaced it if it was a recall. *jb
