Description of the problemThere was a recall issued march 3, 2010 by nissan for my 2006 nissan pathfinder to replace a defective fuel level sending unit. When i attempted to get my fuel level sensor replaced at their woodbury nj nissan dealership in april 2010, because of a failure of the sensor, i was advised that my vehicle was not covered under the recall and that i would have to pay for the repair. I desperately needed the repair because i no longer had any dash speed or fuel level readout and i could not financially afford the dealership estimated charge for the fuel level sensor replacement. I was forced to seek a less expensive repair shop to complete the repair so i could continue to safely drive my vehicle. The sensor unit was replaced april 30, 2010 by a local repair shop at a cost to me of $291. 00. Unfortunately, the nissan dealership refused to do the free fuel level sending unit replacement that i was entitled to under their march, 2010 recall of over 80,000 2006 pathfinder
