Description of the problemThe fuel sensor went, the gas gauge dropped down to e and the gas warning light went on, which in turn set the check engine light on. When it first started it would work one day and then maybe not the next, as of october 2012, it does not work at all. I travel with 3 children, highway driving, daily. This is ridiculous and when i spoke to nissan, it apparently has been recalled but for only certain vin #'s, none of which is mine. This makes no sense. I cannot afford to fix it and knowing it is an obvious problem i have a hard time not making nissan responsible for it. If it was a fluke and it was just my vehicle, then yes i should be responsible to pay for it or deal with it but not when its apparent there is an issue. I try to mathematically figure out my mileage but some times that doesn't always work out and i have run out of gas with my children in the vehicle. Please look into this, thank you.
