Description of the problem	I am having a problem with my fuel gauge for my 2005 nissan pathfinder. The gauge on my dash board does not accurately reflect the amount of fuel that is in the fuel tank. No matter if the tank is full or not the gauge reads empty 99% of the time. Occasionally the gauge will read as if there is fuel but this happens very rarely. Because of this defect i have run out of fuel on a number of occasions and have lost control of my vehicle because of the loss of power. The problem has been around for about 20k miles. Currently i am at about 88k miles on my pathfinder and because of the miles i do not qualify for the extended warranty that i just found out about, which caps the miles at 72k.
