| Description of the problem | 2005 nissan pathfinder le fuel gauge reading fluctuates and reads empty 90% of the time, causing a potential accident due to inaccurate gas reading. Purchased suv brand new in nov '06, reported issue during warranty period, but never seemed to act up when at the dealership, until 51k miles hit and the problem became permanent and out of warranty. I have 2 small children and have run out of gas once on a major highway 66 and once on a back road in winter with no reception. This is a serious issue that thousands of people online have posted the same situation. Nissan clearly needs to issue a recall for the 2005 nissan pathfinder. I was lucky enough both times to not be re-ended, but have had my infant with me both times and had to have citizens push me to the shoulder. |
