Description of the problem	At 58,000 miles the gas gauge and the mileage indicator would fluctuate or wouldn't work at all. Now at 60,000 miles the service engine light is on. One morning i started the car and the gas gauge read empty. Went and put gas in the car and $10 later it was full. I do believe that the two are connected and based on my reading on this site the dealership is aware of the problem but would like the owners to fork out $400 - $600 which in this economy i can't afford. This is definitely a safety concern.
