Description of the problem	My vehicle recently began displaying a warning that the anti-collision system is not functional and i noticed this also disabled and disengaged the cruise control resulting in sudden deceleration . This problem seems to reset when car is started and reoccurs after 10 to 15 minutes driving. I took the car to a nissan dealership service dept, and paid for a diagnostic test to source issue. The nissan service rep told me this was a known issue but i would need to pay out of pocket to fix. I searched on line and on numerous sites found it was a very common and serious defect with a bosch supplied sensor on the radar . This is a driving safety feature i consider essential to my purchase and when suddenly fails disengaging cruise control presents a very dangerous situation to myself and others on the road. Nissan is well aware of the issues and insists i pay a very large repair bill to repair.
