Description of the problem | I was driving my certified pre-owned 2015 nissan murano with my 1 year old daughter in the back seat, a car that i just purchased 2 weeks ago when the front half of the panoramic sunroof suddenly exploded. I was not under an underpass, there were no cars right next to me. It sounded like a gun shot & glass came shattering down the front & back seat where my daughter was in her car seat. This was an absolutely terrifying, dangerous experience that could have ended a lot worse. I consider my daughter & i lucky that we were not injured but from what i have read, this is not an uncommon occurrence. This safety issue with exploding sunroofs needs to be resolved as this is a very dangerous issue that consumers should be aware of before buying a nissan or any car with a sun roof. |
