Description of the problemWe purchased our 2015 nissan murano platinum on 1/10/2019. The vehicle has 36,106k. On 1/13/2019 we felt a slight judder with the vehicle. We again felt a judder on 1/15/2019, which was more severe. Although no service light was present, we immediately contacted the dealer and scheduled service for 1/16/2018. Upon completion of the service call, the dealer indicated that the valve body would need replaced, which is covered under warranty. I have read several complaints regarding this issue with nissan cvts. It is a clear danger to the consumer that if the cvt continues to judder an accident is likely. In addition, issues with the cvt can cause a complete failure of the vehicle, causing serious harm to the consumer. Cars will give a service light when an issue as trivial as tire pressure, low fuel and change engine oil occur. Why when a major mechanical issue is occurring is the car not alerting the operator of a potentially deadly consequence??!!
