Description of the problem	When driving on a long trip, with the cruise-control set, the car suddenly lurched and lost power. The speed reduced and it came out of cruise. I had just started up an incline, so i didn't know if that was the problem. A short time after that the check engine light came on. The transmission started to have issues. It would not go into overdrive and would over rev. We were able to make it to our destination and we took it to a mechanic to have the check engine light checked. The mechanic said it was the transmission and that they could not repair it. We called a transmission shop and they said that they could not repair it either. They had not had any training on how to repair it and that the transmission would have to be replaced. They also said that they had other nissan muranos come in with the same issue. This could be a serious safety issue that could if this happened on a highway with heavy traffic. We made it to the second part of the trip but we had to baby the car. The car would not make it home with the car and we had to have it shipped back. I checked and there is not a recall for this issue.
