Description of the problem	Was driving on vacation from connecticut to south carolina on 8/3/18. Just as we arrived there, the car began jerking at random times while driving and eventually just slowed down to a crawl. We managed to get it to a local nissan dealership and they informed us the transmission failed (we had 62k miles on the car - 2k miles past the warranty). The dealer told us that it likely failed due to the high temperatures the transmission experienced from such a long drive. We paid to have it replaced. Then on 7/26/19, the car experienced the same thing at 76,000 miles. While driving, it began to not accelerate correctly and eventually just started to crawl at a slow pace. We managed to get the car off the side of the road and took it to a nissan dealership. They told us that the transmission had failed.. The replacement transmission we put in the year prior came with a 1 year/12k mile warranty. While it failed within a year, we were 2k miles over the warranty limit. We are now paying to have it replaced again. Two failures withing a year period costing over 8500. I know nissan has had cvt transmission issues with other vehicles, i believe there is also a problem with the ones in the murano...
