Description of the problem	While the car was being driven straight on the highway at approximately 70 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal to find it was spongy and traveled very far before the brakes finally engaged. The contact pumped the brake pedal several times and after four pumps, the contact was able to regain brake pedal strength and stop the vehicle. The contact reports that this issue has happened on previous occasions at various speeds of travel. The contact is aware of a recall on the 2009 model of this vehicle pertaining to the abs hcu unit.
