Description of the problemOver the last year, for some reason the brakes pedal will go almost all the way to the floor when attempting to stop the vehicle. This happens from time to time and will cease after a few hours or a day or so and the brakes will return to operating normally. We have had the car (suv) checked and inspected multiple times, and each time the mechanics cannot find anything wrong. I have read of other owners of the same make and year vehicle who have the same problem and have not been able to resolve it. In our case, we have not rear ended someone (yet), but it appears that others have come very close. We just took the car to the dealership two days ago and the issue reappeared again. While they had it, the brakes were working fine, after we got it home, it started happening again where the brake pedal went all the way to the floor, making it difficult to stop the vehicle. A few hours later, the issue disappeared and the brakes were working fine. Help please, before a family gets seriously injured or a family gets killed.
