Description of the problemAs i was driving on the highway and tried using my brakes i continually had to depress my brake pedal all the way to the floor to get them to start working. Once i reached stop and go traffic on the highway i continued to have this problem where tapping or using the brake pedal as normal did not slow my car down and i had to keep pushing it to the floor in order to keep from running into the car in front of me. I brought this to my normal mechanic who drained brake fluid, checked pads, and tested all calipers which did not fix the problem. They felt it was the abs actuator that was the problem and recommended i go to a dealership. At the dealership i relayed this information and they began looking at the car. Their diagnosis is that the actuator allowed air in the brake line and that air kept my brakes from working. Seems like a common problem among nissan murano's.
