| Description of the problem | When the vehicle is in motion on city streets, the brake pedal goes to the floor when trying to stop. The vehicle can stop but with a fraction of the braking ability. The pedal continues to push all the way to the floor even when pumping the pedal. It corrects on its own after an hour or so. 4 occasions occurred after hitting a bump. 1 occasion occurred when the abs engaged after hitting a patch of ice. The master cylinder has been replaced (i saved the old one) and the brake pads have been replaced and the problem continues. It has only occurred about 5 times over a span of about 1year so it is very difficult to intentionally repeat and diagnose. Internet research points to a possible sticking abs modulator valve. *tt |
