Description of the problem	Entering kansas city on i-49 north approximately 55 mph, on 2/20/18, in inclement weather, the car in the middle lane spun out of control and t-boned my passenger door before turning and sliding down my right side. As the passenger in the murano i felt the first hard impact against the door like a bomb went off yet side door airbag did not implode. I have pictures that show crease made at first impact and door bottom panel was bent outward. I called nissan and reported this both to dealership and manufacturer. They are saying this is a side swipe and therefore does not require implosion. Only witness is other driver who admitted fault, may also be honest about how we were first hit. I have a very heavy suv door on this car and always said it was a tank and would save our lives. I believe it was more the door design that saved us , and my husband
