| Description of the problem | 2010 nissan murano, in may i was traveling at approximately 35 mph in town driving as i approached a street light i applied the brakes. The pedal was soft and went to the floor. Standing hard on the breaks i was able to stop, narrowly avoiding a rear end collision. Brake fluid was at a safe level. Changed brake pads. I still have soft brake pedal. I have to drive extra careful and ensure i give myself four times normal stopping distance. I have been researching to determine possible cause. I see many issues that nissan muranos have had with brake issues. Brakes are a major safety issue jeopardizing public safety. Respectfully request that the nhtsa demand an inspection and correction recall for this known, widespread issue. |
