| Description of the problem | The abs brake warning light went on 2 days ago. The brakes seemed to work fine for stopping, but i did feel some resistance with acceleration. My vehicle has 77,000 miles. Dropped it off with the dealer today. They just phoned stating that the brake actuator motor failed to the tune of $3400 and it is a huge safety issue. After a little online investigation, quickly discovered that this is the same problem nissan had in the 2009 murano for which they did a voluntary recall. The rep at orange coast nissan said she phoned nissan corporate to see if they would help and she said they refused. At the very least, they should provide the part for free. |
