| Description of the problem | On 1/15/18, i was driving to work on a snowy day. I was slowing down to take a left onto an on ramp when my abs kicked in. I continued to slide forward and nearly missed the on ramp. From that point forward, the brake pedal has been "soft." i have to push the pedal down at least halfway before any braking occurs and typically have to push it to the floor to fully stop. I just got new brake pads and rotors in december, so these components are fine. I took it in to nissan servicing, who told me that the abs actuator is bad and needs to be replaced. They have informed me that the vehicle is no longer safe to drive until this is repaired, which was estimated to be a cost of ~$2700 for parts and labor. |
