Description of the problem	Our brakes became spongy and did not work when driving. At a speed of 35 mph. Eventually the brake pedal went to the floor. The car was towed to a dealer who replaced the abs actuator at a cost of $2176 for part, $528 for labor and $69 for diagnosis. We feel nissan should have recalled this very dangerous actuator. We were on a residential street so our speed was 35 mph when the brakes went out abruptly. We are appalled that the company is charging exorbitant part prices and allowing high labor fees to replace this defective and life threatening abs actuator. The dealer told us they were not responsible for reducing the costs. It is totally up to nissan to adjust these costs. Many people could lose their lives because this dangerous situation is not communicated to owners of 2009 nissan muranos.
