| Description of the problem | Every time the abs system is engaged due to slipping on rough road or leaves etc, the brakes become spongy and unresponsive. In addition, the pedal travels all the way to the floor. This happens at any speed, any time the abs system is called upon. It is clear there is a bypass valve that is not returning to its normal position. It is unacceptable that, with over 30 complaints to the ntsa, no research has been done on this issue by nissan. The replacement part is around $1500, possibly the most expensive single brake part in existence. |
