Description of the problem	The passenger airbag light flashes constantly while the car is running and being driven. Took it to a local nissan dealer who told me the entire bottom cushion would have to be replaced at a cost of $4000. It's the same problem other murano's are having, but my cars vin number wasn't on the recall list, so this would be an out of pocket expense. I was told they could turn the flashing indicator off, but the passenger airbag will not deploy if in an accident. Nissan knows this is a problem with several 2009 murano's but refuses to address the problem by adding it to the recall list. It is unimaginable and unacceptable that nissan will allow the airbag light to be turned off knowing the airbag will not deploy properly and risk severe injury, or possible loss of life rather than make this a recall fix. Also the car only has 58000 miles on it.
