| Description of the problem | I was pulling out of a gas station when a friend pointed out that the muffler/exhaust pipes of vehicle were hanging very low to the ground. Mechanic inspected it and rear subframe rusted through and broken. The rear wheels are worn on the inside and are misaligned. They are tilting in towards each other. The vehicle was deemed unsafe to drive. I contacted nissan consumer affairs. I was told that there was not a recall and that i would need to take the vehicle to a nissan dealership to have them look at it and for the repair. I was given a case # and asked to provide proof of ownership. I recently purchased the vehicle from a family member. As the car was inoperable i had aaa tow it to the nearest nissan dealership. The dealer quoted me an estimate repair cost of $5,279; parts and labor. |
