Description of the problem	As i entered my vehicle i noticed that the driver seat was loose and could be easily lifted with one hand. On closer inspection i saw that the welding is broken on the seat frame assembly. I contacted nissan consumer and twice they informed me that there is nothing they can do about my situation because my warranty has expired. The local dealership quoted $2,476. 68 plus tax to replace the driver side seat slide assembly and adjuster, along with the replacement of the plastic side finishers and nissan refuses to even consider offering assistance in payment. Right now i'm driving with a piece of 2x4 and some screws to hold my seat in one position. This is not a light-hearted matter. Nissan knows they are negligent and refuse to issue a recall on these seats. My most precious cargo is my 3 yr. Old granddaughter. Every time i buckle her in her car seat, i pray to god that there will not be a collision of any kind. This matter needs to be addressed now - not after an accident and/or death caused by the seat coming completely apart and me not being able to stop the car safely. My family does not want compensation following my granddaughter and/or i being hospitalized or killed. We need this matter to be addressed immediately for the safety of all drivers/passengers of this make and model car.
