| Description of the problem | I was driving down the highway with my girlfriend and 4 year old daughter in the car. We were driving into a curve to the right and i heard a loud pop. At the same time the driver seat which i was sitting in fell back and to the left causing me the jerk the wheel. We shot across the other lane spun around and skidded to a stop. Luckily, no cars were coming the other way . I didn't think much of it at the time until i finally got around to being able to afford to fix it (being a nissan i knew it wasn't going to be cheap) , i discovered that this is a common problem with the 2006 nissan murano. And that mine was not an isolated incident. I came across hundreds of complaints of this problem, so it makes me wonder after my ordeal, how long before somebody gets killed from this obvious defect. , nissan has to be aware of it ,but still there has been no recall for the american public . Please tell me someone is on top of this because its not a tire pressure sensor or a head lamp fuse, this is the driver seat . Is there any more important thing in the car than keeping the driver in control ? I think everybody would agree no. Someone please do something. |
